It is my immense pleasure to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Mr. Niko Kantzoglou and Steel-More Contracting, Inc. Mr. Kantzoglou and Steel-More Contracting, Inc. have worked with Liberty Maintenance, Inc. for seven years. As a General Superintendent and Consultant of Liberty Maintenance, Inc. his diligence, expertise and ability has far exceeded our expectations and continuously exceeds the performance standards for his position.

Emanouel Frangos (President)

Mr. Nikos Kantzoglou has performed lead abatement and repainting of the Verrazano Narrows Bridge since 1998 for various painting contractors as a Project Manager/Superintendent.
This gentleman is highly professional and experienced at placing protective coating systems. The quality of work performed exceeds the highest standards within the painting industry. He is always safety and environmentally conscious in the performance of his work. He planned and executed the work well within the time allowed on the contract.
This gentleman was a pleasure to work with and we look forward to the opportunity of working with him again.

Michael Clementoni (Senior Project Engineer)

Mr. Kantzoglou was the Superintendent for Elite Contractors, Inc. while performing cleaning and painting of four deck truss spans as part of the above referenced contract, additional paint repair work as required on other portions of the structure (approx 5000 SF), and 7000 LF of caulking, with a total value of $2,596,843.02. Elite’s work began in May 2008, with deck truss painting complete and all platforms and containment removed by the end of November 2008. As-required paint repair work continued through April 2009. Work was completed according to schedule.
Areas where cleaned with SSPC-12 hydro-blasting or SSPC-11 power tooling, and coated with a Carboline urethane system. Elite Contractors self-performed all work on the project, including erection of temporary platforms and containment.
Mr. Kantzoglou proved himself to be experienced and knowledgeable throughout portions of the project. He was well prepared to handle issues of a technical nature, and to quickly resolve field issues. He was also well prepared to coordinate with my own field supervision staff to insure that the project met our goals of safety, quality, schedule, an cost.

Jonathan L. Hart (Project Manager)

I am honored to write a letter of recommendation on behalf of Nikos Kantzoglou and Steel More Contracting. Mr. Kantzoglou and I are currently working together here at the Reconstruction of Roosevelt Island Bridge. I have over 11 years field experience in heavy construction and am currently the General Superintendent for the General Contractor, Koch Skanska, Inc. Mr. Kantzoglou's current position as Superintendent of our paint subcontractor Elite Contractors requires that he and I work closely with aspects associated with the project.
I can write, without hesitation, that Mr. Kantzoglou is by far the most competent and responsible subcontracting supervisor I have ever worked with. His planning and scheduling skills are exceptional. He also places a high premium on jobsite safety and the safety of all the workers he is responsible for. Lastly, and most important to me, is when Mr. Kantzoglou tells me he is going to "take of a situation", it always gets done. He is a man of his word, and that is not always easy to find in heavy construction.

John Raposa (General Superintendent)

I am writing this recommendation letter on behalf of Nikos Kantzoglou of Steel More Contracting. I have known Mr. Kantzoglou since April of 2001. I first met him when he was employed by Keystone Contracting of Zerega Avenue in the Bronx, NY. Since that time I have had the pleasure of working with him on several projects in the New York City area. Most recently, we supplied coatings for use on the Roosevelt Island Bridge for NYC DOT with Elite Contractors.
In my experience most of the most successful contractors in the industrial coatings industry maintain close contact with their employees in the field. They command the respect of their employees, constantly look for opportunities to improve, and correct things quickly when projects veer off track. From what I have seen, Mr Kantzoglou has demonstrated these qualities time and time again. He has always conducted himself with integrity in my dealings with him and has been one of the most professional people I have had the pleasure of working with in this Industry.
I wish him the absolute best in his endeavours with Steel More Contracting and look forward to doing business with him in the future.

Max Tritremmel (Mid Atlantic Zone Manager)

Thank you for a job well done at Liberty pedestrian bridge. As you know, Tully/Cruz is the prime contractor rebuilding the West Side Highway (RT.9A) in front of the new World Trade Center. This job is very important to us, and we appreciate the fact that your company was able to assist us at the last minute by providing labor and materials to paint the Liberty Pedestrian bridge.
Your work was well done, and complied with the NYSDOT specifications. In particular, we would like to thank Nikos Kantzoglou who is extremely competent and understands all the requirements of paint application and preparation.

Peter J. Mazza P. E. (Engineering Counsel)

Mr. Kantzoglou was employed by Elite Contractors in the capacity of Project Manager on various bridge painting projects including the Triborough Bridge, Marine Parkway and Roosevelt Island Bridge whose magnitude ranged from $2.5 million to $10 million in size.
Mr. Kantzoglou was responsible for managing all aspects of our subcontracts including labor, equipment and materials; as well as communicating with DOT and inspection personnel. His knowledge in the areas of safety and OSHA regulations was a valuable asset to our company.
Mr. Kantzoglou's vast experience in the industry allowed him to troubleshoot and manage any incident that he came across on the job, whether it related to material issues or inspection problems. Mr. Kantzoglou was also able to coordinate and complete SSPC QP1 and QP2 audits without any deficiencies.
Mr. Kantzoglou recently resigned from our firm in order to pursue a business of his own. Please feel free to contact the undersigned for any reference information regarding the projects he has completed during his employment with our firm.
